1. Warranty Coverage

Squarewoodcraft guarantees that all work performed complies with the standards set forth by the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC). This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the warranty effective date. 

2. Standards Compliance

The work will adhere to AWMAC's premium grade standards, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and material integrity. Compliance with these standards includes, but is not limited to, the proper installation of cabinetry, millwork, and other custom woodwork components specified in the contract documents.

3. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship in the areas covered by the project scope.


4. Exclusions

The following are excluded from this warranty:  

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents.  

  • Natural wear and tear, including fading, minor scratches, or surface dents.  

  • Damage caused by exposure to moisture, excessive humidity, temperature extremes, or direct sunlight.  

  • Repairs or modifications made by parties other than Squarewoodcraft without prior written consent.  

  • Variations in wood grain, color, or texture that are considered natural characteristics of the material.  

  • Any non-wood components not covered under the AWMAC standards, such as hardware or lighting.


5. Warranty Claim Procedure

To initiate a warranty claim, the client must notify Squarewoodcraft in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect. The notification should include:  

  • Job name

  • Description of the defect or issue  

  • Photographs to illustrate the defect, if available


6. Warranty Service

Upon validating a warranty claim, Squarewoodcraft, will perform one of the following actions at its discretion:  

  • Repair or replace the defective workmanship or materials.  

  • Provide a replacement of similar or equivalent quality if the original product is no longer available.  

  • Any repairs or replacements will be executed within a reasonable time frame and will not extend the original warranty period.


7. Limitations of Liability

The liability of Squarewoodcraft under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective work or materials. This warranty does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or income.


8. Maintenance and Care

To ensure the longevity of the woodwork and to keep the warranty valid, clients must follow proper maintenance and care guidelines. This includes routine cleaning and avoiding exposure to damaging environmental conditions.
